Production Technician

Midwest Prototyping is looking for a Production Technician to join our staff! In this role, a Production Technician will play an active role in our additive and cast-urethane manufacturing processes. This full-time position provides an opportunity for an individual to directly learn about the product development life cycle, from prototype to end-use parts.

We’re looking for someone who loves to work with their hands, pays attention to the details, can think on their feet and react to changing deadlines. On a typical workday, this role will include:

  • Supporting our urethane casting department (including molding, trimming, order-management, and quality control)
  • Supporting our production-capable 3D printing technologies (cleaning and post-processing printed parts, order management, and quality control)
  • Various production related projects and other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

The Production Technician position plays an important role at Midwest Prototyping. To join our team, applicants need to meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours as workload demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • High manual dexterity
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Utilize established techniques for production to ensure project specifications are met

Not required, but Helpful Experience:

  • Previous employment in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with technical drawings and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
