Business Development Manager - Wisconsin  


Summary

As an innovative and thriving provider of advanced 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing services, Midwest Prototyping will be adding a dynamic Business Development Manager to our team that will be based at our Blue Mounds, WI headquarters near Madison. We are looking for a skilled business person that is energetic, knowledgeable, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and highly productive to play a vital role in our strategic go-to-market team success.

The primary responsibilities of this customer-facing professional are to generate significant and sustained revenue growth through technical sales of core capabilities, driving adoption of emerging 3DP/AM technology, building strategic relationships and facilitating development of high-value solutions. To enable success, this highly valued team member will be backed by a supportive management team, robust quality management system, advanced technical experts, a large fleet of high-end 3DP/AM machinery and a positive business culture built and sustained by friendly, collaborative, and fun-loving co-workers and business owner.

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater (business or engineering preferred)
  • 3 years or more experience in 3DP/AM bus. dev. or sales (service bureau preferred)
  • Working knowledge of established and emerging 3DP/AM technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal and written
  • Strong technical aptitude and dedication to expanding knowledge base and skills
  • High drive, strong initiative, self-disciplined, organized and determined to succeed
  • High integrity, professional appearance and demeanor, able to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player able to work well cross-functionally with a broad array of personality types
  • Able to quickly develop effective business and technical solutions tailored to customers’ specific needs
  • Willing to work 40+ hours weekly and go above-and-beyond the minimum to be successful
  • Up to 50% overnight travel

 

Functions 

  • Become a trusted and valued partner of 3DP/AM users and win out over competition
  • Discover and engage target contacts and accounts and convert leads to buying customers
  • Build strong relationships with key players across organizations from operations to executive level
  • Identify, assess and gain access to high value opportunities that align with MWP’s core objectives
  • Generate and successfully execute strategic growth initiatives
  • Provide VoC to provide essential input and insight from accounts and the marketplace to senior staff
  • Attend, support and host trade related events to promote company’s capabilities and generate leads
  • Provide support as needed for other Marketing, Outreach and PR events and activities (tours, webinars, et.al)
  • Assist finance department with collection of past due accounts if needed
  • Submit essential reports for management, analytics and planning purposes
  • Drive significant revenue growth that meets or exceeds established SMART goals
